Adventure in Babysitting/Going Home
I am going home for Thanksgiving tomorrow afternoon.
I can't wait.
yesterday i babysat for the Blondells. Now as soon as i could get the boys to agree on a plan of activities, we took off on their bikes. we were heading to campus and there is big hill on the way down to campus. Nicholas and William raced on ahead and went down the hill while i helped Simon make his way slowly and safely down. When i got the bottom I was shocked and scared to see William sitting on the crub crying. His bike was going too fast and it slid on piles of leaves on the side of the road and he crashed his bike. He was really shaken but it was only a few scrapes and i knew he'd be fine. so as soon as i could get Nicholas to stop talking and William to calm down we started back to the house. As soon as we got back to their house i called some of the neighboring faculty until i got someone on the phone. Luckily, Mrs. Brothers answered and came over to help calm down and clean up William. She was just what he needed, a motherly figure to help bandage his scrapes. After she left, I made the boys smoothies and very quickly they were ready to go out again and do something else. So we went to the park and played soccer until their parents got home. it was quite an adventure, but it was fun. the Blondell boys are crazy fun kids you just gotta love.
tonight i preview my car plays to Mitch. I perform Casey's at 8:20 tonight and then my group performs mine at 9.
I'm a little nervous about it. I mean i feel that both are ready, but i'm still nervous.
I can't wait.

Amber's Senior Project
I saw Amber's senior project. It was amazing.
She blew me away. She really did a fantastic job writing, directing, and acting in her show.
It was about many universal questions about God and a young women's journey seeking love. it really moved me as i could relate to many parts personally. and it inspired me to think about my own senior project (not to come for a little while...a couple years...).
i have also recently watched the movie "Billy Elliot." Whenever i watch this movie i am obsessed with it for at least week.
I really want to dance now too. I have decided i am going to take a dance class with Vicki Finlayson next semester. I still need to tell her this and to talk about which one i should take. i also am sure that dance will somehow be a part of my senior project.
i can't wait until i can really get under way on the car play project. i can't really invest too much until the directing scenes are done on tuesday. i'm really excited about being able to have a chance at directing. i'm not sure if i'll much good at it, but i'm gonna give it my best. and i'm also really excited to be acting in Casey's car play. He is soo creatively amazing.

HAUNT
I went to Knott's Scary Farm. Twice!!
It was a lot of fun. I went for my first time with Hayley on a Friday night. It was a busy night and that made it really fun. I could watch as the monsters would scare group after group of people. I loved the mazes and meeting all of Hayley's friends who work there.
here are some pictures:

Moving on...
I am moving on from myspace. I deleted my site this afternoon.
It was bringing me more drama than I really needed. So I got rid of it. I got sucked into it and was
making it have too much significance.
I will be using this blog more and facebook too. And I can't waste as much time on either of those sites as I could on myspace.
Facebook has this weird thing called a profile badge. The purpose is beyond me, but I made one a long time ago and i guess I'll post it now.
i'm also moving on from the Lit Moon World Shakespeare Festival. The festival closed on Sunday night.
I really enjoyed the last week and a half or so seeing so many different shows and hanging out with so many cool theatre people.
Now i am preparing for my next projects. Which include:
1. The Car Play Project: for acting class i had to write one and i hope it will be chosen to be produced, cuz then i can direct it. and i will have to act in at least one of them. They are scheduled to be performed at the end of November early December.
2. The Directing Class Scenes: I auditioned to be in a scene that a student in John Blondell's directing class will direct. The scenes are from "The Three Sisters." Which will be next semesters production.
3. The Bone Shop: is a theatre company started by Rose Elfman, who graduated last year. it is a group made of Westmont, UCSB, and Santa Barbara Community College theatre students. We will be rehearsing and designing a show to be performed as part of Westmont's Fringe Festival next semester.
I shall be a very busy bee.
But i hope to keep posting updates as frequently as i can.

Four day in Napa
This weekend was a four day. We had Monday and Tuesday off school.
I went with a fairly large group of people to Napa to a friend's house.
It was a good time. Here are some pictures of some activities etc we did.
We went to a concert event called "Rock of Ages" on Saturday. It was an interesting event. I believe if I were a little kid or a total "rock out for Jesus" type, I would have enjoyed it more. On our way back from the concert, we stopped to look at a mill, that still works. It cost money to go inside and it was almost going to close for the day, so we just looked at the outside.
Sunday after church, we went to Snug Harbor. We spent the night there in the Snuggle Inns. We had crawdads (don't know how to spell that) for dinner. There at Snug Harbor we did water sports and relaxed. It was fun.

Rogue Rehearsals/Home Sweet Home
Mon and Tues I had rehearsals for "Rogue." I love this show. i love the cast. Mitchell is a fantastic director. I had such a blast rehearsing this show, and i cannot wait for more time to work with this group.
This weekend I will be coming home. To transfer music, photos, back up documents etc on my new macbook. Cory is coming over and we will be driving down tomorrow evening. I can't wait to see my family and Tess and Stacy. It should be a good time.

Rogue
Today Mitchell, my acting professor, called me and asked me if i wanted to fill in Sumner's roles in the play "Rogue." He will be putting up as part of the Shakespeare festival that will take place in Santa Barbara this October. And I accepted the offer. I'm so excited to come aboard the cast of the show and can't wait to work on it. That is my big news of the day.

Moving in ...
So these pics i was going to post a while ago but when i moved into my room my internet wasn't working. Anyway, these are from moving into my new dorm room early. I came back early to help out with the freshmen orientation. VK was redone over the summer so the rooms and lounges are really nice and new.
