thin line

i'm walking a thin line. the line between wanting to be home and wanting to get as far away from home as possible. i love my family, but sometimes i just need to get away. and it happens a little more often then i expected. i really can't wait for the day i can finally get my own place. and i am yet again missing westmont: the campus, the people, my friends, santa barbara, the freedom.

i think i'm really gonna love working at the zoo. today was training and i have to say i like the job so far. tomorrow i start working for real.

19th

Sunday was my 19th birthday. It was a very good day. I was with my friends from Westmont. They woke me up in the morning singing happy birthday and brought me breakfast. Then later they presented me and Heather (whose birthday was Monday) with cake and gifts. They got me a nice card and some cool random stuff. I love my friends.
It was a different experience not being home on my birthday.

This Weekend

I leave tomorrow morning for a weekend in Napa.
Things haven't gone how i wished and the trip is shorter than hoped but i hope to have fun anyway.

Napa or bust!

So I for sure will be going to Napa June 8-12th. Either by train or by car, I am going. It will be my birthday present to me to make sure I see my Westmont friends on my birthday (which is June 11, if you didn't know). As of now, I am waiting on a few people to know if they will still be going and how we are going to get there. If I don't hear back from everybody, I will start getting annoyed and not just a little stressed, like I am right now. I don't want to complain, because at least I have a great group of friends to make plans like this with. I just wish the whole group could be there.
