I want this!!

I wanna get this laptop. I know I already have a laptop and a fairly nice one. But when I bought it I bought it for school and for entertainment too. Now I have other entertainment devices likea TV and DVD player and do not need a laptop with a widescreen etc. Right now I'm just thinking about it and we'll see what happens.

Do You Want the Bad News First or the Good News?

So I woke up feeling slightly sick this morning. Just sick enough that I decided it would not do me well to go to voice and speech class, on a count of the fact my thoart hurt like crazy-go-nuts and I could barely breathe through my nose. So I did not go to class. This is extremely bad timing. I CAN'T GET SICK NOW!! I need to be able to finish this semester. It also does not help in the slightest that I have been losing good sleep. Yes I sleep in fairly late on Tuesdays and Thursdays but it is not sleep that helps me feel better. I throws off my sleep pattern and makes me get sick. I just want to ask for prayer for me and that I can finish this semester fairly strong.

A little bit of good news: I have been invited to go home with Cory for Easter Break. I am extremely appreciative of his offer as I don't think going home before finals is a good idea. Especially when my brain and body are more than ready to check out for summer. I would just get comfortable being home too much that it would kill me to have to go back and finish with finals.

so we have finally reached the final month of school. I can't believe it. My first year of college will be over soon. This is our last full week of school and the rest are four day weeks. So cool.
Speaking of Easter break coming up... so far I guess I'm planning to just go home. Unless I were to be extended an invitation to go home with someone. I kinda don't wanna go home to only then be home again for summer so soon. Kinda want to spend as much time with my Westmont friends as I can before summer vacation.
I have an Old Testament test tomorrow. I don't know how well I will do, but i did study with Colleen and I think that did help. I will use some of my free time before class tomorrow to study too.

(sometimes i feel that is soo true and i am not one of those lucky hearts. but i realized that i am so even when i don't see it. i mean i have such a wonderful group of friends. Helen, Vanessa, Monique, Colleen, and Heather: thanks for befriending me in my first semester at Westmont and for being such good friends. Kate: thanks for being willing to talk with me and to listen to me and for just being you!! Mary, Jessica: You guys are amazing and I love ya! I'm sad we could not get to know each other much last semester. Cory: thanks for putting up with all kate's and even my jokes and cracks about us. Thanks for being a good friend. Tess: where to begin? lol I love you to death gurl! I can't remember a time in my life when i didn't know you. you've always been there and a part of my life. we've been through so much together. You have always been my best friend and i intend it to stay that way.

Last night was the Sadeis dance and it was held at the Santa Barbara Zoo. It was sooo much fun!! I went with Jessica and we went as goth. Kate and Justin went as flamingos. Cory was a wild animal tamer and Helen was a tiger. Mary and Colleen went stag and were reindeer. We went to Carrows afterward. Such a good time.

"Oh My!" That's right tomorrow is the Sadie's dance and it is being held at the Santa Barbara Zoo with the theme "Where The Wild Things Are." I am looking forward to it!! I am going with my friend Jessica and we are putting together our costumes today. We need to come up with some awesome costumes, and go all out!! I will take my camera to the dance tomorrow night and post pictures as soon as possible.

Home Sweet Home

Huzzah! I'm home!
I am now home for Spring Break.
I got home around 11:30pm on Friday night. I caught a ride from Helen's sister, and enjoyed a crazy fun ride home.

Saturday evening I went to my cousin Anouska's last high school dance recital. We didn't get to go the last one and I don't remember why. The performance was very good, especially Anouska. I was glad I got to see her and her sister Natasha. I didn't think I get to see my cousins. I just wish I could see the cousin's on my mom's side of the family, Katie, Pat, and Shannon.

I did get to see Tess and Stacy after the recital. We went to Carrow's and got time to catch up. I was sooo happy to see them again. I'm glad to be alive I was attacked by two of the biggest hugs I've ever received in my life.

Anyway, i can't believe it is already Wednesday. The week will be over before i know it and i'll have to return to Westmont. I mean it isn't like I don't want to go back to Westmont. Because in fact I miss all my friends very much.
I think I will going home Saturday morning. I need to finish talking to my parents about it and make sure one of them will drive me and I don't have to take the train.

Helen, Vanessa, Mary, Heather, Colleen, Daniel: I hope you are having a great spring break at home. I know I am. I hope you are getting any much needed rest. I can't to see you again soon!!

PenPal

So as many of you know I work for Phonathon which is all about calling Westmont alum and bonding with them and then ultimately seeking donations. I was talking with this elderly woman this past Monday night and she mentioned how about three years ago the Phonathon asked she wanted a penpal. And so she did get one and she said she really enjoyed having a Westmont student as a penpal. Well this has gotten me thinking about how penpals are a dying breed. I want to revive this tradition.
I would love to establish a good penpal relationship with someone and to rediscover the fun of sending and receiving letters in the mail. So listen up friends and family back home!! I would love to become your penpal. And to those of my friends here at Westmont, since we are here we don't need to be penpals (especially i see you guys like everyday) BUT during the summer I would love to be your penpal.
Now I wouldn't mind being electronic penpals via e-mail, but I prefer to do penpals the traditional way of sending letters in the mail.

Remember when we were penpals? Haha, even though you lived just around the block. I'm glad we did that though, because as we got older it got harder to hang out and keep in touch. I think I still have the letters you sent me in a file in my room at home. And I'm glad we are communicating via blogs and AIM. Keep in touch buddy!!

Change in Plans

I have made a change in my spring break plans. I am no longer going to go on Potter's Clay to Mexico and instead I will be going home. I have just been feeling really homesick this past week and felt it was more important for me to go home and see my family and friends. I need to touch back to my roots and recharge my batteries in order to finish the semester strong. I know that I am making the right choice because when I called my family, Stacy, and Tess, I felt so much better. It soothed my soul to hear their voices again. I know I just need to see them and hug them again and I'll feel totally re-energized for the rest of the semester.
